Nabarlek

Nabarleks are tiny species of macropods found in rocky areas of northern Australia, both on islands and the mainland. It has a bushy, long tail which has the same length as its body.

Naked Mole Rat

Also known as sand puppies, it is a burrowing rodent found in East Africa and spends most of its time underground. This animal has numerous adaptations for an underground lifestyle such as the ability to live in low-oxygen environments, large incisor teeth for digging, and is virtually cold-blooded.

Nalolo

The nalolo is a small fish found in the western Indian Ocean. It has a long, narrow body, a blunt head, a long dorsal (back) fin, and large pectoral (side) fins.

Nandu

Also known as Rhea. They are large, flightless birds found in pampas and grasslands in South America. These birds are distinctly related to cassowaries, the emu, and ostriches.

Napu

It is a small, hoofed mammal and it is also known as the Greater Mousedeer. It is found on the Malay Peninsula, tropical rainforests in Southeast Asia, and parts of the wider Southeast Asian mainland.

Narwhal

Narwhal is a member of marine mammals called toothed whales that live in high arctic cold waters. Another name is sneep.

Natterjack

Found in sand dunes and heathlands throughout much of Europe. It belongs to the family Bufonidae and looks like common toads only that they have a vertical yellow line on its back.

Nautilus

A nautilus is a marine mollusk that has spiraled shell that has numerous chambers. The animals live in the last chamber while the other chambers assist the animal to control its buoyancy.

Neapolitan Mastiff

Neapolitan Mastiff is a sizeable dog that weighs between 110 to 150 pounds. They are fairly quick, confident, active, and extremely protective of their home.

Nebelung

Nebelung is a pedigree breed of domestic cat with wide-set green eyes, long bodies, mild dispositions, and long and dense fur. It is gray in color and it is tipped with silver.

Neddicky

The neddicky is a small reddish-brown and grey bird found in Africa. It belongs to the Cisticolidae family and piping cistocola species. The species is common in shrubland and savannas habitats.

Needlefish

This is a type of fish with streamlined bodies and narrow, long, and tooth-filled jaws. They are found near the surface of the water and they swim at high speeds.

Nematode

Nyala
